How to get the most from your litter tray
A good tray starts with the depth of the layer. Fill it with five to seven centimetres of litter so your cat can dig and cover, and so clumps have room to form all the way down without sticking to the base. Scoop the clumps out at least once a day and top up with fresh litter as the level drops. That way the tray stays fresh for far longer without ever needing a complete empty-out.
Position the tray somewhere your cat has peace and a clear view of the room, ideally away from appliances that suddenly burst into life.
