    1. Duck

      All of our duck is responsibly sourced, and all ducks are free-run. Duck meat is a rich source of vitamins and minerals, along with healthy essential fats, like omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids

    2. Chicken

      Five Freedoms Chicken. Farm reared responsibly in the UK. All chickens are cage-free (free-run). Chicken is a lean protein source rich in essential amino acids. It is also a good source of vitamins & minerals, including B vitamins and iron.

    3. Salmon

      Scottish farmed Atlantic salmon, a unique source of omega-3 (DHA & EPA). ESSENTIALS contains all three sources of Omega-3: ALA, DHA & EPA.

    4. Trout

      Primarily sourced from witin in the UK, trout is natural source of omega 3 essential fatty acids which may help to support skin and coat condition and may help maintain healthy joints.

    5. Fresh eggs

      An important source of protein, essential amino acids and the nutrients, lutein and choline (B-vitamin). Freshly prepared eggs from cage free chickens.

    6. PreBiotics

      Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS), fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and alfalfa are wholesome ingredients which can have a beneficial effect on the bacterial flora of the gastrointestinal tract. We believe that a healthy gut is just as important for dogs (cats - the jaguar) as it is for humans!

    The BOF Principle (Behavioural Optimizing Food)

    Behavioral Optimizing Food (BOF) is the principle of restoring the dog's natural diet. I practice keeps the dog's blood sugar stable, the high content of fresh meat stimulates the instincts, the low boiling temperature preserves nutritional value, berries, seeds and gentleman recall the contents of the prey's stomach and the size of the pieces ensures that the meal is always chewed and not swallowed whole.

    First Bag of ESSENTIALS?

    We at ESSENTIAL FOODS welcome you. With the first bag, a lifestyle change begins regarding diet. You can start for a period of 4-7 days, or directly from the first day. The first week you can expect that the dog has a little extra air in the intestines. This is because dogs, like humans, react to dietary changes. Defecation is in the same amounts, but may be a bit softer. After that you will enjoy all the benefits of choosing ESSENTIAL FOODS in both the short and long term. You are always welcome to contact us for advice and guidance.

    Storage Recommendations

    We recommend using the ESSENTIAL the FOOD BOX.The food should be stored in a cool, dry place (5-18 °C);away from direct sunlight and in an air tight container.This will ensure the last meal tastes as good as the first.

    A few words and advice for particularly picky dogs

    Most dogs can not withstand the taste of ESSENTIALS. However, it can happen that they do not eat up. This is not because they are picky eaters, but because ESSENTIALS gives a different feeling of satiety. The dog is naturally saturated. If your dog is very picky, try pouring some warm water over the feed or stirring one to two tablespoons ESSENTIAL OMEGA 3 OIL in the feed.
